George W. Storm, Jr. (Wes), formerly of Marcy, NY, passed away February 10, 2025 at the age of 87 at the Masonic Care Community.
He was born July 26, 1937 in Johnson City, NY, the son of George W. Storm, Sr., and Wilma B. Storm.
For more than 40 years, Wes was an active member of the Boy Scouts of America. He served as Assistant Scout Master and Troop Committee Chairman of Troop 79, Marcy, NY. He led three expeditions of local scouts to the Philmont Scout Ranch in Cimarron, NM, and received the District Award of Merit for his service to youth in scouting.
He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hiking, backpacking, and canoeing. His favorite memories were of the many trips with his canoe partner and fellow Scouter, Bill Kritzler.
